A Case Report about Knee Osteoarthritis Patient Treated by Korean Medicine Treatment Focusing on Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives : This case study reports effects of Korean medicine treatment focusing on Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum on knee osteoarthritis.
Methods : The patient diagnosed with osteoarthritis of both knee joint was treated with acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, cupping, and Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum. NRS(Numeric Rating Scale) and ROM(Range of Motion) were evaluated during the treatment to assess.
Results : NRS score of both knee joint gradually decreased by 8 to 1 and flexion ROM of both knee joint was increased by70° to130°.
Conclusion : It is suggested that Korean medicine treatment focusing on Gamisunbangwhalmyung-Eum is effective for osteoarthritis.
